On his gravestone:
"Richard TERRY, late of ye parish died 24 November 1733 aged 81 years. Also Hannah, wife of Richard Terry died September 23 1749 aged 76 years. Also Francis, son of Richard Terry died December 11 1749."
Richard's will was made and proved in 1733:
To my loving wife Susannah £5 per year. To Ralph Fox, Elizabeth Fox and Frances Fox the children of my nephew Ralph Fox £5 each. To the two daus of my nephew Thomas Fox – viz Mary and Elizabeth £5 each and all other children of Thomas 20s each I give to Thomas Fox son of my nephew William Fox £5 and to all other children of William 20s each. To Elizabeth & Mary Fox daus of my nephew David Fox 50s each. To my cousin Terry Matthews I forgive him the debt and to Terry, son of my cousin Terry Matthews I give £5. To all other children of Terry Matthews 20s each. To my son Isaac and his heirs I give the messuages, farm etc. in Hearne? To my son Francis & Isaac on attaining the age of 21 years I give all lands in Brook to Francis and all lands in Lower Hardres to Vincent.
