Arthur Pain was born on 1st March 1883 and died on 20 November 1951 aged 68 at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead, Berkshire. He was living at 30 Montrose Avenue in Dachet, Buckinghamshire at the time. Dachet is a village close to the Berkshire border. His probtae was read at Oxford on 15th December 1951 and he left £358 4s to his wife Ethel Maud Pain.
