Emma was a witness at her brother George Edward Bloomfield's wedding to Alice Julia Bloomfield in Ipswich in 1891.

Emma's husband Charles Hobey was married previously to Emma Nunn,they married in Ipswich in 1881. Emma died on 29 January 1909 aged 46 and left Charles Hobey £132 2s 3d, Charles was noted as a malster.

Emma Bloomfield's husband Charles Hobey died on 14 September 1925 and left his probate to Emma, it was worth £513 12s 1d.

When Emma died at her address in 115 Back Hamlet, Ipswich she left her probate of £912 1s 8d to a Arthur Edward Stiff a collector of taxes. On the 1911 census Arthur Edward Stiff was living at 137 Back Hamlet a few doors away from Charles and Edward Hobey who lived at 115 Back Hamlet.
