Samuel Bridges was an apprentice in Ipswich, Suffolk in 1721, his master was John Bumstead who was a Woolcomber. Samuel was living in Parham, Suffolk at the time. £20 .0s 0d was the premium paid to John.

Samuels' wife Sarah Capon was born in 1696, she was a widow at the time of their marriage in 1737 and died in 1786 aged 90, she was buried in Marlesford, Suffolk on 25 July 1786.
