In his will he says, being sick and weak in body, recommended his soul to GOD and his body to the earth, and directed that his debts and expenses be paid; bequeathed to his wife MARY his house in STONHAM ASPAL in which he resided along with its outhouses, yards, gardens, orchards and everything else, and in which resided a ROBERT THUMWOOD, as long as MARY lived and remained unmarried. Within a year of MARY dying or remarrying the property was to be completely sold and the proceeds to be split equally his nephews JONATHAN, EDMUND, JONATHAN. His wife £50 plus "one Bedd with its furniture, 6 chairs, Chest of Drawers, a long Dresser with the Pewter Shelves over the same and two small tables with drawers in them and also all her wearing cloaths and linnen"for her use outright.
