Walter inherited £423 2s from his Grandmother Sarah Rebecca Bloomfield (Masterson) when she died in 1936. He died at his home at 4 Tomline Road, Ipswich, Suffolk.
Living with Walter on the 1939 Register was his Aunt Annie Ethel Dickinson (she was born on 23 April 1897 and died in Sudbury, Suffolk in 1968) and his Grandmothers brother Harry J Masterson who was born on 25 January 1856 and died in 1945 in South Essex and his mother Edith May Bloomfield (Kinsey).
His gravestone at the Lawn Cemetary, Ipswich says "In loving memory of Walter F. A. Bloomfield who passed away 14th September 1990 aged 75 years".
