WILL OF EDMUND TYDEMAN dated 11 June 1670, discharged at Ipswich:
In the Name of God Amen the tenth day of September in the Nyneteenth yeare of the Raigne of our Sovraigne Lord Charles the Second [ by the grace of God ] of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland Kinge defender of the faith &c And in the yeare of o'Lord God 1667 I Edmund TYDAMAN of Earle Stonham in the County of Suff Taylor heretofore by me made, doe thus Ordaigne & make this my last will and Testamt in manner and form followinge, first i com[m]end my Soule into the hands of Almightie God hopeinge assuredly through the only death and meritts of Jesus Christ my Savior and redeemer to have my Sinnes forgiven me & to be made ptaker after this life of life evlastinge,And for my body i leave it to be decently interred by the discresion of my Executrix hereafter named,And touchinge my Worldly estate whereof God hath blessed me,i give & bequeath it in manner & forme followeinge, that is to Saye,Imprimis i give will & bequeath unto Anne my well beloved wife all that my Messuage or Tenemt wherein i nowe dwell wth the Lands & pastures thereunto adioyninge and belonginge wth apputennces wch i lately puchased of JOHN BLOMFIELD gent to have and to hould the sd.Anne my wife & to her heires for ev,Item i will and bequeath unto the sd. Anne my wife One Cottage or tenemt wth a yard thereunto belonginge scituate and beinge in Earle Stonham aforesaid wch is joyninge to the Lands of WILLIAM GULLUM towards the West to be Sould by the sd.Anne my wife wth in one yeare next after my decease towards the paymt of my debts,And in case the said Anne shall happen to dept this life before the said Cottage or Tenemt shalbe Sould,then i give & bequeath the saide Messuage or Cottage & yard before bequeathed unto JOHN BRAHAM the YOUNGER of Wickham Skeyth in the sd County of Suff gent & to his Assignes, to be Sould by the sd. JOHN BRAHAM wth in Sixe months after the decease of the said Anne my wife towards the paymt of my debts as above sd. And i give & bequeath unto the sd.JOHN BRAHAM fforty shillings for his care & paines in the sale thereof,Item i give & bequeath unto EDMUND TYDAMAN my sonne Tenn shillings of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my Executrix hereafter named wth in Sixe months next after my decease, Alsoe i give and bequeath unto the sd. Anne my wife,all my goods & Chanttells whatsoev & wheresoev towards the paymt of my debts & bringinge my body decently to the earth, and i doe hereby alsoe nominate & appoynt my said lovinge wife Anne Sole Executrix of this my last will and testamt.In Witnesse whereof to this my last will conteyninge one sheete of paper,i have hereunto Sett my hand & Seal the day and yeare first abovewritten. On Edmunds burial entry it says "senior".
Edmund married Ann Braham, daughter of John Braham and Thamar Blomfield. (Ann Braham was born in 1635, died on 13 November 1675 in Earl Stonham, Suffolk and was buried on 13 November 1675 in Earl Stonham, Suffolk.)
