Henry Orvis was born in Hadleigh, Suffolk in 1825 and they had 7 children:

Edward Henry Orvis born Ipswich in 1850.
George Mulley Orvis born Ipswich in 1857, baptised at St Matthews on 14 August 1859, he was living with his Aunt Susannah Choat on the 1871 census in Camberwell, London. He married Sarah Jane Robinson at Camberwell Green Chappel on 25 February 1877, London in 1877 and died there on 25 February 1938 and was buried at Camberwell Kew Cemetery, Surrey.
Frederick William Orvis born Ipswich in 1859, baptised at St Matthews on 14 August 1859. Married Jane Johnson in Camberwell, London in 1883 and died there in 1909.
Alfred James Orvis born Ipswich in 1861.
Mary Ann Alice Orvis born Ipswich in 1862.
Susannah Maria Orvis born Ipswich in 1863.
Benjamin Robert Orvis born Ipswich in 1866. Married Agnes Emma Meadows in 1886 and died in 1941 in Surrey District.

Mary and her husband Henry Orvis were witness to Mary's sisters Georgenna's wedding in Ipswich in 1863.

Henry Orvis died in 1889 in Ipswich, Suffolk aged 63.

On the 1891 census Mary is shown as living on her own although her niece Agnes C Calthorpe (Eliza Mulley's daughter) is with her.

Joseph Harmer who was Mary's second husband died on 3 April 1899 at Ipswich, Suffolk and was living at 194 Cauldwell Hall Road in Ipswich at the time. He left effects of £341 5s 2d to Mary. There were no children born from this marriage.
