Thomas Walgrave was knighted by King Edward IV on Sunday 29 March 1461 on the day that the King and his ally the Earl of Warwick rout the Lancastrians at Towton.
Noted events in his life were:
• Marriage: to Elizabeth Fray.
Thomas married Lady Elizabeth Fray, daughter of Sir John Fray and Agnes Danvers. (Lady Elizabeth Fray was born in 1441 in Banbury, Hertfordshire and was buried in 1500 in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.) The cause of her death was Plague.
