Date of Probate:20th March 1762

In the Name of God Amen. I, Robert Nineham, of Langton in the Isle of Purbeck in the County of Dorset, Yeoman, Do make this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former and other Wills by Me at any time heretofore made in Manner and Form following, that is to say, I Give unto my Son, John Nineham, the Sum of forty Shillings, and also the Sum of fifty Pounds that he is Indebted to Me, and which I paid for him to Mr. William Filliter for Rent at Michaelmas last, One thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty One.

Item: I give and Devise unto my Grandson, Thomas Nineham, Son of John Nineham aforesaid, all my Lands situate, lying and being at the Town' s End in Swannage in the Isle and County aforesaid. To Hold to him, the said Thomas Nineham and To his Heirs for Ever.

Item: I give unto my Daughter, Margaret Smith the Feather Bed and all the Furniture to the same belonging now in her own Possession, the Dram Dish and the Silver Bodkin.

Item: I give unto my Daughter, Elizabeth Chinchen, wife of John Chinchen, the Sum of Ten Pounds to be paid her, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns within Twelve Months next after my Decease, and my Clock and Case.

Item: I give unto my Grandaughter, Sarah Chinchen, my Tea Table and my two best Chairs.

Item: I give unto my Daughter, Elizabeth Chinchen, my best Gold Ring.

Item: I give unto my Daughter, Sarah Jenkins, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns, the Sum of Twenty Pounds, to be paid within Twelve Months next after my Decease, and my Second best Gold Ring.

Item: I Give unto my Grandson, Edward Chinchen, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns, the Sum of Ten Pounds when he shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years.

Item: I give unto my Grandaughter, Sarah Nineham, daughter of my Son, Thomas Nineham Deceased the Sum of Twenty Shillings.

Item: I give unto my Grandson, Robert Jenkins my Silver Buckles.

Item: I give unto my Son, Robert my Common Prayer Book, and to x x x x x Mary Nineham my Tea Pot.

Item: I give unto Each and all of my Grandchildren that shall be living at the time of my Decease the Sum of Twenty Shillings a Piece to be paid to Each and all of Them in Twelve Months next after my Decease.

Item: I give unto my two Daughters, Elizabeth Chinchen and Sarah Jenkins all my Wearing Apparel both of Linen and Woolen equally Between Them and to be delivered them in one Month next after my Decease.

Lastly, as to all the rest, residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate, Goods and Chattels, Bonds, Bills, Notes of Hand, Book Debts, Money and Securities for Monies of what kind and nature soever I shall Die possessed off, and not hereinbefore Disposed off (after my Debts-and Funeral Expences and Legacies are paid and Discharged) I Give and Bequeath unto my Son, Robert Nineham and my said Daughter, Margaret Smith, equally to be Divided Between Them, their Executors, Administrators and Assigns within Twelve Months next alter my Decease. And I Do hereby make, Nominate and appoint my said Son, Robert Nineham and my said Daughter, Margaret Smith, Joint Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. My Will and Desire is, and I do hereby Direct that my said Son, Robert Nineham shall have the whole and Sole Management to see all my Goods Appraised and Sold and all my Debts and Legacies paid and Discharged then the Remainder to be equally Divided Between Them as aforesaid. In Witness whereof I, the said Robert Nineham, the Testator, have to this my last Will and Testament, set my Hand and Seal this Tenth Day of November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty One.

Signed, Sealed, published and Declared by the said Robert Nineham, the said Testator, as and for his last Will and Testament in the Presence of Us who have Subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto in the Presence of the said Testator.

Oh his tombstone:

Here lyeth the Body of Sarah Wife of Robert Nineham Who departed this life May 26th 1735: Aged 43 years.

Under that Tomb lies my Father and my Son:

Also my mother in this grave. Here alfo lieth the Body of Robert Nineham, Who departed this life November 13th 1761 Aged 72 years
