On the 1861 census Mary Race (Lockwood) and her husband, Thomas are living with a Alfred Lockwood who is shown as her Grandson. She is living with him again in 1871 and is also with Alfred's wife Roseanna.
On the 1881 census she is living with a Elizabeth Haywood who is shown as her Grand-daughter.
Mary's husband Thomas died in 1861 aged 62 and was buried at Stowupland on 8 December 1861.
