King Edward II Plantagenet

General Notes:
Edwatd succeeded his father as King of England when Edward I died on 7 July 1307. Edward II was crowned on 25 February 1308.
Edward was murded by an agent of his mother Isabella and her lover Roger Mortimer. Mortimer was hanged by Edward III and Isabella was spared and gave he gave her a generous allowance, but ensured that she retired from public life for several years. She died at Hertford on 23 August 1358.
