Ellen was 36 when she was baptized, she was christened on the same day as her sister Emily, who was 14 years old. It also looks like she was married before she was baptised.
The 1901 census shows her name as "Helen" and her surname as "Higgitts" and her husband's name as William rather than Thomas.
