James Alfred Durrant

  General Notes:

James first wife died in August 1906 after a boating accident on the River Medway near Chatham in Kent, she and James Alfred Durrant had one son called James Frederick Durrant who was born on 29 November 1904 and died in 1991, he had survived the boating accident when he was with his parents.

On his second marriage certificate James is listed as Alfred James Durrant and is listed as being bachelor rather than a widower.

On the same day James Alfred Durrant daughter Annie Elizabeth Durrant was baptised at St Paul Church (8 September 1918), his Niece - Vera Grace Mattocks was also baptised.

James Alfred Durrant died on a barge at Rochester, Kent in 1925.

Grace Annie Durrant died at Hill House Hospital, Minster, Thanet, Kent in 1966 aged 79 and was buried at Maidstone Road & Palmerston Road Cemetery, Chatham on 8 December 1966.
