Sir Humfrey Starky was a British justice. He studied at Inner Temple and was made Recorder of London in 1471. In 1478 he was made a Serjeant-at-Law, allowing him to practice in the Court of Common Pleas. He served briefly as Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer in 1483 but was moved later that year, becoming Fourth Justice of the Court of Common Pleas and dying in office in 1486. He purchased the manor of Littlehall in Woldham, Kent, to which he gave his own name, and where he built a house.
Humphrey married Isabel Walden, daughter of Alexander Walden and Unknown, in 1459 in London, Middlesex. (Isabel Walden was born in 1438 in Kentish Town, Middlesex, died on 20 April 1496 in London, Middlesex and was buried in April 1496 in St. Leonards, Shoreditch, London.)
