Also known as Maria Crofts, on her death certificate she is down as Maria Cross Bloomfield. In the death index book at Ipswich Cemetery she is listed as Maria Crofts Bloomfield. On her baptism entry she is listed as Maria Crofts and her father as John Crofts.

Maria was a witness at her sister in law Eliza Bloomfield's wedding on 16 May 1814 to Thomas Cooper at Rushmere St Andrew Church. She is shown as Mary on the marriage record.
