John Bloomfield was a witness at his sister Elizabeth Bloomfield's wedding to Thomas Cooper at Rushmere St Andrew Church on 16 May 1814. Mary Bloomfield (John's wife of 2 years) was the other witness.

John Bloomfield (born 1792) and Lucy Robinson (Nee Cross) were witnesses to Eliza Bloomfield first marriage to Edward Pipe on 22 October 1840 at Kesgrave. John was again a witness (along with Eliza Lambert - his sister in law) at Eliza's second marriage to George Finney on 23 July 1865 at St Clements Church, Ipswich.

On the 1851 census living with John and Maria Bloomfield was an Eliza Pipe who is shown as John's Grand-Daughter, she is shown as being 9 years old so would have been born in 1842 in Rushmere St Andrew, Suffolk. Her parents were Eliza Bloomfield and Edward Pipe.
