General Notes: By her first marriage to Sir William Parr, Elizabeth was a Grandmother to Queen Catherine Parr as their son Sir Thomas Parr was her father. Her second husband Sir Nicholas Vaux claimed her as a first cousin. Noted events in her life were: • Marriage: to Sir William Parr, 1474, Kendal, Westmorland. • Marriage: to Sir Nicholas Vaux, 1485, Harrowden, Northamptonshire. Elizabeth married Lord (Sir) Nicholas Vaux, son of Sir William Vaux and Katherine Penyston, in 1485 in Harrowden, Northamptonshire. (Lord (Sir) Nicholas Vaux was born in 1460 in Harrowden, Northamptonshire, died on 14 May 1523 in St. Johns Hospital, Clerkenwell and was buried in May 1523 in Blackfriers, London.) |
