Katherine Vaux was the half-sister of Sir Thomas Parr, making her an aunt of Queen Catherine Parr, Henry VIIs sixth and final wife.

Katherine married Sir George Throckmorton, son of Sir Robert Throckmorton and Catherine Marrow, in 1503 in Coughton, Warwickshire. (Sir George Throckmorton was born in 1482 in Coughton, Warwickshire, died on 6 August 1552 in Coughton, Warwickshire and was buried in August 1552 in Coughton, Warwickshire.)
