Lord William La Zouche

William was also known as "Lord La Zouch" and "1st baron, of Harringworth".
William la Zouche, 1st Lord (Baron) (la) Zouche (of Haryngworth), so created by writ of summons to Parliament 16 August 1308-14 and August 1347/8 first as Lord (Baron) la Zouche, later as Lord (Baron) la Zouche of Haryngworth; before 18 or 21 December 1276; knighted in 1306, he did military service against the Scots 1301-33 and in Ireland 1317 and 1332, also in Gascony 1324-25.

William married Maud Lovel, daughter of Lord (Sir) John Lovel and Isabel Du Bois, before 15 February 1296. (Maud Lovel was born about 1280 in Titchmarsh, Thrapston, Northamptonshire and died before 1346 in Harringworth, Northamptonshire.)
