Aleyn Sexton

  General Notes:

Robert Sexton was a son of Aleyn Sexton of Lavenham, a clothier whose will was made December 26, 1487, and proved February 8, 1487. It mentions his wife Rose, his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Maryon Sexton, and the children of Thomas Sexton and of Rose Barbor, the size of the legacies to the children seeming toindicate that they were Aleyn's grandchildren although they are notspecifically called so. Robert Sexton's first wife, Marion, who was living in 1487, is said to have been a daughter of Thomas Spring ofLavenham but is called Cecily in the pedigrees.
