John Fosdike Lockwood
General Notes: John made his will in 1854, it was proved at Ipswich in 1859. In it John a labourer of Earl Stonham left his property (valued at under £20) to his wife Sarah. At her death it was to go to his second son, Edmund a solider in the Coldstream Guards in London. Sarah in died in 1874. Noted events in his life were: • Marriage: to Sarah Tydeman, 13 April 1821, St Mary's Parish Church, Earl Stonham. • Residence: Earl Stonham, 1841, Suffolk. • Occupation: Agricultural Labourer, 1851, Suffolk. • Residence: Earl Stonham, 1851, Suffolk. John married Sarah Quinton Tydeman, daughter of Edmund Tydeman and Sarah Quinton, on 13 April 1821 in St Mary's Parish Church, Earl Stonham. (Sarah Quinton Tydeman was born in 1802 in Earl Stonham, Suffolk, christened on 29 May 1803 in St Mary's Parish Church, Earl Stonham, died on 23 August 1874 in Earl Stonham, Suffolk and was buried on 27 August 1874 in St Mary's Parish Church, Earl Stonham.) Noted events in their marriage were: • witness to wedding: John Lockwood & Martha Tydeman. |
