Sir Phillip Parker

  General Notes:

Sir Phillip Parker was created 1st Baronet Parker, of Erwarton, Suffolk in 1561.

Sir Phillip Parker was knighted by Queen Elizabeth I in 1578 as she passed through Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and in 1580 he was the High Sheriff of Suffolk.

  Noted events in his life were:

• Marriage: to Catherine Goodwin.

Phillip married Lady Catherine Goodwin, daughter of Sir John Goodwin and Elizabeth Throckmorton, in 1568 in Erwarton, Suffolk. (Lady Catherine Goodwin was born about 1550.)
