In the Ipswich Journal newspaper on 16 July 1776:
"Last Tuesday was married Mr Kemball surgeon at Stoke to Miss Gurdon of Hadeigh daughter of the Rev Mr Gurdon late of Cranworth in Norfolk, an agreeable young lady with a genteel fortune”.
Letitia Phllipa Kemball's husband Vero died in 1814 at Maldon in Essex and was buried at Woodham Mortimer on September 10th 1814, he was 65 years old.
On a gravestome in Stoke By Nayland:
In memory of Philippa Gurdon, relict of Parker Gurdon, Rector of Cranworth, in Norfolk, and daughter of George Clarke, late Rector of Raydon, in Suffolk, who died April 11, 1779, aged 65."
Here lieth two of her grandchildren, Eliza and Philip Kemdall, who died infants.
